On the 10th of December, Universal Academy, Ekpoma held its end of year party and for the first time ever, spiced this religious activity with the festival of nine lessons and carols. The students had high hopes and expectations as they had anticipated the visitation of Santa Claus (also known as Father Christmas by local folks). Preparations had started weeks before hand and the students who had their reluctant nature in check started responding to participation in the scheduled activities for that day.
Finally, the deal day arrived with a blast and the dress code though exquisitely simple, reeled the moments into the thoughts of passer-by(s) who also hurried in to witness this great event.
From the opening prayer to its closing prayer, it was indeed an event to behold. And from the feels and memories made, next year's festival of nine lessons and carols promises to be even more exciting and innovative.
